"The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God." Exodus 20:10

"And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment." Luke 23:55-56
"For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works...There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. The Holy Day is not the first day of the week (Sunday), as many believe, but the seventh day (Saturday) the Sabbath Day.
