Please note that no offence is intended towards any person, for this would be contrary to the teaching of Jesus Christ, but before going on further in this important subject, below are several facts regarding this Religious Global Power, which should be noted:-
FACT:-This same religious global power ruled in the early centuries & persecuted millions of people...
FACT:-This same religious global power was identified by the early Protestant reformers, as the "Anti-Christ"....
FACT:-This same religious global power is identified in Daniel 7 & Revelation 13 & 17 in the Holy Bible, as the major player in end-time events....
FACT:-This same religious global power, is the only power which dared to change God's "Times and Laws"(Daniel 7:25), by changing the eternal Ten Commandments Law. This power has deleted the 2nd Commandment against worshipping idols, 'changed' & 'shortened' the 4th Commandment about the Sabbath & divided the 10th Commandment about covetousness, into two Commandments....
FACT:-This same religious global power, states that only the Church can forgive sins, contrary to what the Holy Scriptures teach...
FACT:-This same religious global power & Her associates, will again help to unite Church & State, to oppress the true followers of God! (Revelation 13).
Below are several quotes on what the major Protestant Reformers taught about the Antichrist & what that meant at that time....
Obviously, they did not yet fully understand the full extent of the prophecies as outlined in Daniel & Revelation, however, they were all in universal agreement to whom the particular prophecies pointed to....
Please note that in Daniel 12:4 it teaches that "knowledge shall be increased." not just in terms of Man's Scientific knowledge, but also in terms of Bible prophecies. This knowledge is not new, and has been around for hundreds of years. Many Church leaders are aware, but refuse to accept or teach this Biblical & Historical truth regarding this Religious power....
Again, please note that no offence is intended towards any person, for this would be contrary to the teaching of Jesus Christ, but rather to just simply present what some of the most significant Christian leaders who have ever lived believed about "the man of sin" (2 Thessalonians 2:3), "the little horn" (Daniel 7:8) and "the beast" (Revelation 13:1) and about the Antichrist. Please now read below what these Christian leaders believed who this 'Antichrist power' is:-
"When the western church was divided for about 40 years between two rival popes, one in Rome and the other in Avigon, France, each pope called the other pope antichrist - and John Wycliffe is reputed to have regarded them as both being right: "two halves of Antichrist, making up the perfect Man of Sin between them." - Ibid
"Whereof it followeth Rome to be the seat of antichrist, and the pope to be very antichrist himself. I could prove the same by many other scriptures, old writers, and strong reasons." (Referring to prophecies in Revelation and Daniel.) - Works by Cranmer, Vol. 1, pp. 6-7.
Speaking of the Papacy, John Wesley wrote, "He is in an emphatical sense, the Man of Sin, as he increases all manner of sin above measure. And he is, too, properly styled the Son of Perdition, as he has caused the death of numberless multitudes, both of his opposers and followers.... He it is....that exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped....claiming the highest power, and highest honour....claiming the prerogatives which belong to God alone." - Antichrist and His Ten Kingdoms, by John Wesley, pg. 110.
Based on prophetic studies, Martin Luther finally declared, "We here are of the conviction that the papacy is the seat of the true and real Antichrist." (Aug. 18, 1520). - Taken from The Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers, by LeRoy Froom. Vol. 2., pg. 121.
"Luther .... proved, by the revelations of Daniel and St. John, by the epistles of St. Paul, St. Peter, and St. Jude, that the reign of Antichrist, predicted and described in the Bible, was the Papacy .... And all the people did say, Amen! A holy terror seized their souls. It was Antichrist whom they beheld seated on the pontifical throne. This new idea, which derived greater strength from the prophetic descriptions launched forth by Luther into the midst of his contemporaries, inflicted the most terrible blow on Rome." - Taken from J. "Some persons think us too severe and censorious when we call the Roman pontiff Antichrist. But those who are of this opinion do not consider that they bring the same charge of presumption against Paul himself, after whom we speak and whose language we adopt.... I shall briefly show that (Paul's words in II Thess. 2) are not capable of any other interpretation than that which applies them to the Papacy." - Taken from Institutes of the Christian Religion, by John Calvin.
Pastor Williams spoke of the Pope as "the pretended Vicar of Christ on earth, who sits as God over the Temple of God, exalting himself not only above all that is called God, but over the souls and consciences of all his vassals, yea over the Spirit of Christ, over the Holy Spirit, yea, and God himself....speaking against the God of heaven, thinking to change times and laws; but he is the son of perdition (II Thess. 2)." - The Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers, by Froom, Vol. 3, pg. 52.
John Knox sought to counteract "that tyranny which the pope himself has for so many ages exercised over the church." As with Luther, he finally concluded that the Papacy was "the very antichrist, and son of perdition, of whom Paul speaks." - The Zurich Letters, by John Knox, pg. 199.
"The oracles of God foretold the rising of an Antichrist in the Christian Church: and in the Pope of Rome, all the characteristics of that Antichrist are so marvelously answered that if any who read the Scriptures do not see it, there is a marvelous blindness upon them." - Taken from The Fall of Babylon by Cotton Mather in Froom's book, The Prophetic Faith of Our Fathers, Vol. 3, pg. 113.
"There is no other head of the church but the Lord Jesus Christ. Nor can the pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof; but is that Antichrist, that man of sin and son of perdition that exalteth himself in the church against Christ and all that is called God." - Taken from Philip Schaff's, The Creeds of Christendom, With a History and Critical Notes, III, p. 658, 659, ch. 25, sec. 6.
"John Wycliffe, William Tyndale, [Tyndale Bible] Martin Luther, John Calvin, Thomas Cranmer; in the seventeenth century, Bunyan, the translators of the King James Bible and the men who published the Westminster and Baptist confessions of Faith; Sir Isaac Newton, John Wesley, Whitfield, Jonathan Edwards; and more recently Spurgeon, Bishop J.C. Now please remember, that in Daniel 7:25 it teaches; "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."
The Sabbath commandment in the Ten Commandments is the only commandment which deals with "times" & is a 'law', (the seventh day, Saturday & how long-24 hours, sunset Friday to sunset Saturday). The Roman Catholic Church are the only religious organization who have changed God's Ten Commandment Laws!
Evidence of this can be found in its Catechisms, the papacy has omitted the Second Commandment against worshipping of idols, has changed & shortened the Fourth Commandment, about the Sabbath and divided the Tenth Commandment, about Covetousness, into two commandments. (Check this out for yourself. Compare the Ten Commandments in any Catholic Catechism with God's list of the commandments in Exodus 20:3-17.) There is no doubt that the little horn power of Daniel chapter 7 is the papacy.....
The papacy has indeed changed the Law of God, including changing the day of worship. They readily admit that they did change the Sabbath of the Fourth Commandment, where it 'commands' us to worship God on the "Seventh day", to the "first" day of the week.
Anyone who embraces the day which the Roman Catholic church has implemented as the day of worship, will be guilty of obeying human laws over the 'divine', & thus will be guilty in the eyes of God, and will be left to their own destruction;
"And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand. The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." Revelation 14:6-11
The ones who will be saved from impending destruction, are the ones who, "keep the commandments of God." Revelation 14:12
