This is a very important subject. We sincerely hope that you accept the following message with an open-heart and an open Bible, because Bible prophecy has never failed!! And we sincerely hope that you will accept the Biblical truths for what it is, 'The Truth'.
Satan is setting up this world so that we will all eventually bow down and worship him!! You see, Satan would really like to be God: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." Isaiah 14:12-14.
Satan has done a marvellous job, in persuading the children of God, that the Sabbath is not important. He doesn't want us to give our allegiance to God!
As we have learned earlier, the Sabbath is a 'SIGN' "......between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that does SANCTIFY you" Exodus 31:13.
"And hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a SIGN between me and you, that ye may know that I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD." Ezekiel 20:20
The Sabbath is a special "SIGN" that defines that we are God's children and He is our God, that sanctifies us and makes us Holy! It also defines that it is God that we worship, love and give our allegiance to. It is not a SIGN when we keep a secular day and profane God's Sabbath!!
In God's final warning messages issued to the world, we find a call to worship the Creator: "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven....Saying with a loud voice Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and *worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters" Revelation 14:6-7
In this final warning God is calling ALL His people to 'worship the true & living God!' He is calling everyone to repent and worship Him in all 'truths'. This means that anyone who loves God, will keep ALL His commandments. They will not serve other Gods, they will not worship idols, they will not take Gods name in vain and they will keep 'Holy' the day which He has 'blessed & sanctified'.
The call to worship in Revelation 14:7 brings us back to the Fourth-Commandment about the day of Worship, which God set aside specifically for holy purposes: "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: *For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it." Exodus 20:8-11
*Notice the link between the words in Revelation 14:7 & Exodus 20:8-11. The call is to 'Worship the Creator' and God has given us a Commandment for that!
Throughout the scriptures we can see an emphasis on the recognition of the Creator. "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11
"For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens." Psalms 96:4-5
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." Psalms 121:1-2
By keeping the Sabbath Day, as He has commanded us, we show our love for Him and give recognition of His authority in our life.
"Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." 1st John 5:1-3
In the book of Revelation it also teaches us who will be the saved people in the last days; "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:12. The Scriptures explain clearly who Gods people are in the last days.
Another chapter from the same book of Revelation clearly confirms who Gods people are in the New Kingdom; "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city." Revelation 22:14.
It is also important to stress that God does not want to destroy any of His created children; "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2nd Peter 3:9, but God does have a specific warning to ALL Christians, who profess to love Him, & that is to keep ALL His Commandments:-
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children". Hosea 4:6
Please mark this in your mind, that in the last days, the people who will be saved and have access to the glorious place that is called Heaven keep ALL the Commandments of God, which includes the Fourth Commandment to 'keep the Sabbath day Holy'.
